DIRECTOR + PRODUCER - SUDESHNA SEN

Sudeshna Sen was awarded CityArtist 2022 by the City of Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture. Previously she was a nominee for the inaugural Of a Certain Age grant honoring Lynn Shelton. ANU is her first feature film. She describes herself as a filmmaker of quiet moments, interludes of meaning and emotion that are unforgettable to those in it, and unknown to others. An Indian American filmmaker, Sudeshna grew up in India and Japan before moving to the United States for graduate school.
Sudeshna’s short film MEHNDI premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival, and played at over twenty festivals including Outfest LA, WickedQueer, New York Indian Film Festival, Vancouver South Asian Film Festival and Chicago South Asian Film Festival among others. She has directed several shorts (narrative and documentary) including Julia’s Farm (2015), Turret Syndrome (2016) Urban Street Gallery (2016). Sudeshna is a member of Alliance of Women Directors, Women in Film and serves on the board of Northwest Film Forum. She holds a doctorate in Japanese literature and visual culture (U.of Oregon 2002).

LINE PRODUCER - SUSAN LASALLE

Susan is an independent local producer and unit production manager Susan has had the good fortune to develop projects with some of Seattle’s best directors. Highlights of her career include the Academy Award winning documentary DEADLY DECEPTION, New York Film Festival award winner IT’S YOUR CHOICE (Discovery Channel) and Seattle International Film Festival’s 2005 Golden Space Needle Award winner FULL DISCLOSURE starring Judy Greer (iTunes). In 2011 Susan produced and managed the award winning family film ALL I WANT IS CHRISTMAS starring Elliott Gould (Ocean’s 11, Mash) and David DeLuise (Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place). Susan has also produced Independent Feature Project Spotlight Award winner, DIGGERS starring BAFTA winner Phil Davis and the award winning 2015 feature documentary THE BREACH. In 2019 Susan production managed TV Pilot THAT ONE TIME starring Dermot Mulroney and Bao Quoc Tran's feature THE PAPER TIGERS starring Ron Yuan (Mulan, Marco Polo) and Alain Uy (Helstrom, The Morning Show). In her off hours Susan enjoys fishing from her boat the SS Minnow in the San Juans and has served multiple terms on the boards of the non-profit organizations Corporate Accountability International and Women In Film - Seattle.
